Your function

For the Asian, Australia and New Zealand region, Rademaker is looking for a Field Service Engineer with experience in installing and commissioning of machines, preferably in the food industry. In this position, you are the key person to represent Rademaker regarding installation and service work at customers. You work closely with our local agents, the colleagues from Rademaker China, the Sales Director Asia, Africa and Middle East and the Service Manager.

In this role you are responsible for the installation and commissioning of sub-systems and/or complete production lines at the customer site. This is a combination of mechanical assembly, wiring, IO check and software startup of the machine. Together with your colleagues you will do the commissioning at customer sites. Besides commissioning of new production lines, you will also check our installed base for preventive and corrective maintenance and perform service and after-sales activities at customers. As Field Service Engineer you will also travel occasionally to our head office in The Netherlands in order to gain knowledge about the machines and techniques, so you are able to perform installation, commissioning, and maintenance work on site.

In the role of Field Service Engineer, you will report to Hans Emmelkamp, Service Manager. Hans Emmelkamp works form our head office in Culemborg (The Netherlands). Your position requires intensive travelling to all relevant countries in Asia as well as to Australia and New Zealand. In close consultation with the Service Manager and Sales Director, you will organize your work and necessary trips by yourself.

Your profile

To be successful in this role, you will meet the following requirements:

·       You have experience in the process engineering (food) industry for at least five years.

·       You have knowledge in the field of mechanical and electrical engineering.

·       You are experienced in working for an international company.

·       Experience with Siemens PLC controls is an advantage.

·       You have a customer-oriented attitude and can work both independently and in a team.

·       You live in (South) East Asia and like to travel in this region

·       You are willing to work at deviating hours if required.

·       You are in possession of a driver’s license.

·       English language and reporting skills are required, knowledge of the Chinese language is an advantage.
