Together we rise
The Women’s Bakery is a social enterprise based in East Africa. They empower women by building small bakeries which produce nutritious and affordable breads to the local communities. In places where nutrition, jobs and education are scarce, The Women’s Bakery trains and supports women to source local ingredients, bake and sell fortified breads.
Through these bakeries, women are employed, can increase their income and gain irrevocable skills. For their communities it means that local demand is met with local supply and healthy nutrition is available, even for the poorest of people. In addition, the women can offer their children a better future and more opportunities than they had themselves.

PROJECT #BREADPOWER
2018 marked the first year of the partnership between The Women’s Bakery and Rademaker. Together we have worked on improving existing products and introducing new recipes. We looked into ways of engaging our network partners at IBA and today we are very proud of the 2018 achievements.
